For advocates
Your whole day of hearings, in your pocket.
What is the best diary app for a practising advocate in Pakistan?
A diary app for a Pakistani litigator has to work the way the kachehri works: fast entry while walking between courtrooms, Urdu and Punjabi, no signal inside court buildings, and a list of tomorrow’s cases every evening. Munshi is built around exactly that loop — voice entry, offline reminders 60/30/10 minutes before each hearing, and a 6 PM WhatsApp brief — on the Solo plan for PKR 1,500 a month.
Dates arrive late
Your clerk hands over tomorrow’s list after court closes — if he remembered every next date.
Nothing on your phone inside court
The register is in the chamber. A client asks about another case and you guess.
Typing is too slow
No advocate wants to type a case title, FIR and sections on a phone between hearings.
How Munshi helps
- Speak once, 10 secondsClient, court, sections, date and purpose — from one sentence in any language.
- Reminded before every hearing60, 30 and 10 minutes before — offline, on your lock screen.
- Tomorrow at 6 PMThe full list on WhatsApp, with documents you flagged.
- Next date in one sentence“Adjourned to 12 November” — the next hearing writes itself.
- Case history that builds itselfEvery outcome becomes a timeline, like the register — searchable.
- Ask your diary“Is hafte kaun se bail ke cases hain?” — answers from your cases only.
A typical day on the Solo plan
- 7:30 AM — morning summary: four hearings, first at 10:00 in Court 5.
- 9:30 AM — reminder on the lock screen: “carry FIR copy”.
- 12:10 PM — “Zamanat ho gayi, agli tareekh 12 November” — next hearing created.
- 6:00 PM — WhatsApp: tomorrow’s six hearings in time order.
Questions
How much does the Solo plan cost?
PKR 1,500 a month, or PKR 15,000 a year (two months free). The first 100 founding lawyers pay PKR 999 a month, locked for 12 months.
Can I keep my munshi and still use Munshi?
Yes. Many advocates do both. On the Chamber plan your clerk gets his own seat to add entries for you.
Does it work for High Court practice?
Yes. Courts are configured during setup — including the Lahore High Court and its benches — so dictated court names map correctly.
Is it hard to set up?
Most lawyers are set up in under five minutes. In Lahore we can set it up in your chamber.
