Digital Munshi uses the official WhatsApp Business Platform (provided by Meta) to send a small number of useful messages to lawyers who ask for them. Messages come from Munshi’s verified business account.
Opt-in
We only send WhatsApp messages to a number after you have opted in — for example by turning on the WhatsApp evening brief during setup or in Reminders & brief, by requesting a sign-in code on WhatsApp, or by messaging us first. Opt-in is never a condition of buying a plan.
Messages we send
| Message | When | Category |
|---|---|---|
| Evening brief — tomorrow’s hearings, courts, times, documents needed and a link to open the day | Once a day at the time you choose (default 6:00 PM PKT), only if you opted in | Utility |
| Sign-in / verification code | Only when you request one | Authentication |
| Account and billing notices (e.g. trial ending, payment receipt) | Occasionally, related to your account | Utility |
| Replies from our support team | When you message us | Service |
Frequency
The brief is limited to one message per lawyer per day. We never send reminders for each hearing on WhatsApp — hearing reminders are notifications on your phone.
What we never send
We do not send advertising or promotional campaigns on WhatsApp without separate, explicit consent, and we never share or sell your number.
Opt-out
- Reply STOP to the Munshi WhatsApp number at any time, or
- turn off the WhatsApp brief in More → Reminders & brief.
We confirm the opt-out and stop non-essential messages immediately. You can opt in again at any time. Sign-in codes are only sent when you request them.
Content and privacy
The brief contains case titles, courts and times from your diary. Turn on "Hide case names" in the app if you prefer shorter briefs. WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted in transit to your phone; Meta processes them as our provider under its business terms. See our Privacy Policy.
