Legal diary glossary

What does Shahadat mean? شہادت

Shahadat means evidence — the testimony of witnesses and documents produced before the court.

Evidence in Pakistan is governed by the Qanun-e-Shahadat Order, 1984. A typical diary purpose is “evidence of plaintiff” or “PW evidence” (prosecution witnesses).

Evidence dates often need preparation — summoning witnesses and arranging documents — so they benefit from earlier reminders.

In Munshi

When you say “shahadat” in a voice note, Munshi stores it as evidence so search and printed cause lists stay consistent.
