Legal diary glossary

What does Mulzim mean? ملزم

Mulzim means the accused — the person charged with or alleged to have committed an offence.

In case titles of State prosecutions the accused appears after “State vs”, for example “State vs Bashir Usman”.

A diary usually records the accused’s father’s name (walad / s/o) because many accused share common names.

In Munshi

When you say “mulzim” in a voice note, Munshi stores it as accused so search and printed cause lists stay consistent.
